High School Students to get Laptops
PARIS – Paperwork is being sent home with Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School students this week in order to supply every OHCHS student with a Netbook computer. This is the second year that students are receiving Netbook computers through the high school program. Last year the high school technology department put together a proposal to supply every student with a Netbook laptop computer. The district funds this program which costs far less than the MacBook program offered by the state, according to Assistant Principal Paul Bickford. Netbooks will be available to students on the following dates: Tuesday, September 7 - Freshmen and Transfer students will attend a brief presentation at 6 p.m. in the OHCHS Auditorium followed by Netbook computer deployment. Wednesday, September 8 - All seniors and juniors can bring in their paperwork and user fee and pick up their Netbook computers from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 9 - All remaining juniors and all sophomores can bring in their paperwork and user fee and pick up their Netbook computers from 5 to 7 p.m.
